Lumenorth Tulip Vintage Wall Lamp

Tulip is a vintage plated wall lamp with a shade that tilts on its arm like the flower it is named for, with gold accents set against a painted body. The tilt on the arm is not decorative at all. It means the light can be aimed at a page, a wall or a mirror rather than always falling in the same place, which is the difference between a sconce that gets used and one that simply hangs there.

There are seven colours: blue, grey, red, green, brown, white and yellow, each with the same golden detailing running through the fittings. That consistent thread of metal is what lets the range hold together as a family. Pick a bold colour for a statement in a hallway or a child's room, or a neutral one for something quieter beside a bed, and the fixture still reads as the same design rather than as two unrelated products that happen to share a shape.

The plated finish keeps it looking vintage without actually being fragile. Mount it beside a bed, at the top of a staircase, or in a bathroom where the arm can be angled towards a mirror rather than straight out into the room.
