Lumenorth Snow Nordic Wall Lamp

Snow is a Nordic wall lamp with the pared-back, quiet quality that Scandinavian lighting is built on: a simple form, a soft light, and nothing surplus anywhere on the body of it. It is the kind of fitting that gets noticed only when somebody deliberately looks for it, which in a bedroom is exactly the right behaviour for a light fitting mounted on the wall beside you.

The blue is the unexpected one and the reason to look twice at the range: a muted, cool tone that sits beautifully against white walls and pale wood, and reads as considered rather than decorative. White is the classic minimalist option and keeps a small bedroom feeling larger than it is by letting the fitting disappear into the plaster behind it. Black gives the sharpest outline and the most definition, which suits a room with darker joinery or a strong colour already on the walls.

Whichever finish you choose, the light itself stays warm rather than clinical, which is what makes the fitting work through the darker half of the year in a northern room. It takes an ordinary E27 lamp, so dimmable and smart bulbs will both fit it for use beside a bed.
