Lumenorth Ingot Brass LED Wall Lamp

Ingot is a brass LED wall lamp with the solid, weighted look of a cast metal bar: compact, plated, and noticeably heavier in the hand than it appears on the wall. The proportions are deliberately dense rather than delicate, which is what gives a small fitting some presence. It reads as a piece of hardware in the good sense of that word, solid and made to stay put.

The shade throws light up and down rather than out into the room, and that is exactly what makes it work in a foyer or a hallway: you get a soft wash on the wall above and below instead of a glare in the face as you walk past it at close range. It is also the right effect for highlighting a textured wall, the edge of a stair, or an architectural detail that the main lighting in the room ignores completely. A pair spaced along a corridor turns a blank run of plaster into something considered.

It uses a G9 lamp, which keeps the body compact and the heat low. Each piece is made to order rather than held in stock, so allow a little extra lead time when you are planning the installation date.
