A semicircle of light mounted flush, with the flat edge doing the work and the curve doing all of the looking.
It projects barely at all, which is what makes it right for a hallway or a stairwell where a deeper fitting would eventually catch a shoulder or a bag.
These two usually trade off against each other in a fitting this slim. Current LED technology is what lets Arch have both.
Arch is a half-moon LED wall lamp: a semicircle of light mounted flat against the wall, with the flat edge of it doing the work and the curve doing all of the looking. It projects barely at all, so it suits a corridor or a stairwell where anything with real depth to it would eventually be caught by a passing shoulder or a bag.
Advanced LED technology means low power consumption alongside genuinely high brightness, which are the two things that usually trade off against each other in a fitting at this size. It is rated for fifty thousand hours of continuous use, which in normal domestic terms means you will almost certainly redecorate the room, possibly more than once, before the light itself needs any attention at all. There are no bulbs to buy, none to change, and nothing to go wrong halfway up a stairwell.
It is dimmable as well, so the same fitting covers a bright hallway first thing in the morning and a very low glow last thing at night. In a child's room, mount it high enough to be well out of reach and use the dimmer at night rather than adding a separate night light.
Barely at all. It is designed for narrow spaces where anything with real depth would get knocked as people pass.
Yes. The LED gives genuinely high brightness, so it lights the treads properly rather than acting only as an accent.
Very little. Low consumption alongside high output is the whole reason for building it around an LED.
Either. Flat edge down throws light across the floor, flat edge up washes the wall, so the effect is yours to choose.
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting, which is part of how it stays so slim.
