Beacon is a cordless table lamp with no cable to hide and no socket to sit near. A 1500 mAh battery gives up to sixteen hours at low brightness and around six hours at full output, and recharges fully in about three hours, so an evening outdoors never depends on finding an extension lead. The LED is rated for twenty-five thousand hours, which means the lamp will comfortably outlast most of the furniture it sits on. Tap the top to switch on and cycle three brightness levels, and hold to move through the colour range when you want something other than plain warm white.
