They haven't been installed yet, so I don't know about the quality in terms of functionality, but in person they look just like in the photos.

Vein is a marble wall sconce named for the thing that makes each one different: the pattern running through the stone, which is never repeated twice in the whole run. You are not really choosing a finish here so much as being given one. That is a genuinely rare thing to be able to say about any mass-produced light fitting at this price.

A copper body carries a genuine marble face. Copper was chosen for a practical reason as much as an aesthetic one: it is durable, it holds its colour rather than wearing thin, and it warms rather than dulls with age, which is the opposite of what most plated finishes do over a decade on a wall. The marble supplies both the weight and the pattern. Together the two materials give the fixture a substance that a plated steel sconce simply cannot match, and you notice it the moment you pick one up.

Mount it beside a bed, along a hallway, or up a staircase where the stone is passed at close range. Because no two faces match, a pair bought together will differ slightly, and that variation is worth planning for deliberately rather than trying to avoid it.

  • Material: genuine marble face on a copper body
  • Veining is unique to every piece and never repeated
  • Copper is durable, holds its colour and warms with age
  • Substantial weight compared with a plated steel fitting
  • A pair will differ slightly from one another
  • Best for: bedrooms, hallways, staircases and living rooms
  • Ships worldwide with tracking, delivered in 3-14 business days
