Ridge is a long LED wall sconce named for the single unbroken line it draws across a wall: a slim bar of light rather than a lamp sitting out on a bracket. It projects barely at all, so nobody catches a shoulder on it in a corridor. The light is the fitting, and the fitting is a line. There is nothing else to it and nothing else needed.
Light leaves the fixture in both directions, washing the wall above and below and leaving a soft double glow instead of a single hot spot in the middle. That makes Ridge particularly good in the places where a normal sconce struggles: narrow hallways where a projecting shade is in the way, stairwells where the wall is the only surface worth lighting, above a headboard where reading light has to come from somewhere, and either side of a mirror where there is rarely enough room for anything bulkier than a bar.
Mounted horizontally it widens a wall; mounted vertically it lifts a low ceiling. The integrated LED runs cool and needs no bulb changes at all, which matters a great deal on a fitting placed high up in a stairwell where a ladder is involved.
