Lumenorth Reed Nordic Pendant Light

Reed is a tall, narrow pendant light with the slim upright profile of the grass it is named for: a vertical line of light rather than a wide shade hung flat across a room. It takes up almost no width, which is the whole point. In a room already crowded at eye level, a fitting that goes up rather than out is often the only thing that works. It draws a line instead of filling a space.

There are three heights, and they do quite different jobs. The sixty centimetre version is compact enough for a bedside drop or a hallway where headroom is tight. At eighty centimetres it becomes a proper feature above a dining table and starts to hold the room on its own. The hundred centimetre version reads almost architectural, and it is the one to hang in a stairwell or a double-height space where anything shorter would simply look lost against the volume around it.

Hanging two or three at staggered heights above a table or a stairwell turns the fitting into a composition rather than a repetition. Keep the bulbs identical across all of them so that the staggering reads as a deliberate choice rather than an installation that went slightly wrong.
