Lumenorth Fern Green Ceramic Pendant

Fern is a green ceramic pendant light with a dark wood crown, the colour of a shaded forest floor in a shape soft enough to sit almost anywhere. It is a quiet fitting rather than a statement one, and it works best in a room that already has some wood or some plant life in it. The green is muted rather than bright. That is what keeps it from dating.

The glazed ceramic shade holds a deep, slightly muted green that changes character depending on the light around it: fresh and leafy in daylight, and almost black-green once the sun has gone. The dark wood detail at the top grounds the whole piece and gives it a vintage, lived-in quality rather than a showroom one, which is unusual in a fitting bought new. Ceramic and wood are both warm materials, and together they take the chill out of a room lit by a single overhead fitting.

The rounded form gives a soft, dimmable light from a G9 lamp, suited to a dining table or a bedside. Each piece is made to order rather than pulled from stock, so allow some extra lead time when you are planning the installation date.
