Dune is a modern glass wall sconce named for the colour of its warmest finish: the soft sand tone that amber glass throws across a wall when the light is on. The name describes the effect rather than the shape, which is the right way round for a fitting whose whole character comes from the glass it is fitted with.
Clear glass is the brightest and most classic of the three. It leaves the bulb visible, so pair it with a filament LED and let that be the detail rather than adding one elsewhere. Grey mutes the output and cools it, which suits a darker, more contemporary room with muted paint and metal fittings already in it.
