Drop is a glass globe pendant with the soft, slightly heavy curve of a water droplet caught mid-fall. Each shade is hand-blown, so no two are quite identical, and the glass diffuses the bulb into an even glow rather than leaving a hard point of light hanging in the middle of the room.

There are three glass finishes, and they behave very differently. Clear glass leaves the bulb visible and throws the brightest, crispest light, which makes it the right choice if you want to show off a decorative filament bulb. Smoked glass mutes the output into something moodier and better suited to a room used mostly in the evening. Amber warms everything it touches and is the one to pick for a dining table through a long winter, when the light coming in through the windows has already given up by four in the afternoon.

The twenty-five centimetre globe works on its own over a bedside table or in a small room, while the larger size holds its own over a dining table or an island. Hang three in a row over a worktop, or one alone in a spot where the shape can be read from every side and the hand-blown irregularities in the glass show properly.
