Spire is a Nordic wall lamp reduced to a single clean line: no shade to speak of, no ornament anywhere, just a slim metal form and the light it throws onto the wall around it. There is nothing here to date, because there is nothing here that belongs to a particular year. It is about as close to a permanent choice as a light fitting gets.
Black is the graphic option and holds a sharp outline against pale walls, which suits a room where the lighting is meant to be seen as part of the composition. Gold warms the light slightly and pairs naturally with wood, cream and older plasterwork. Silver is the most neutral of the three and disappears most easily into a modern interior that already has a good deal of hardware in it.
