Patina is a brass bowl pendant light built on the wabi-sabi idea that a little wear makes an object better rather than worse. There are five finishes and each has its own character. Soft pistachio and verdigris both lean green and vintage, and sit well against timber and older plasterwork. Aged zinc is the coolest and most neutral of the set, which makes it the safe choice in a room with a lot going on already. Antique copper throws the warmest reflected light of any of them. Petrol blue is the deepest and most dramatic, and it wants a plain wall behind it. Several are finished with a contrasting rose-gold interior that warms the light on its way down.
