Onyx is a Nordic pendant light built on a single contrast: a deep matte body set against bright golden accents, the way the stone it is named after runs dark with a seam of light through it. The black finish is the dramatic option. It recedes into a dark ceiling and lets the gold detailing carry the whole fixture, which works particularly well in a room with strong colour or dark joinery already in it. The white version is softer and reflects considerably more light back into the room, with the gold reading as jewellery rather than as a statement.
