Meadow is a Nordic planter light: a minimalist ceiling fixture with a ceramic growing pot built into the body, so a single object lights the room and holds a plant at the same time. It asks a ceiling light to do something more than hang there. The form stays quiet enough that the planting becomes the decoration. That division of labour is what makes it work.
The integrated ceramic planter is deep enough for herbs, succulents or a trailing pothos, and it is glazed so that it wipes clean and never sweats onto the fixture below it. As the plant fills out, its leaves break up the light and throw soft shadows across the ceiling and the wall, which means the fitting changes slowly over months rather than staying exactly static from the day it went up. Herbs over a kitchen worktop are the obvious use, since they get the light they need and stay within reach of the chopping board.
It takes an ordinary E14 lamp and hangs from a standard ceiling point with no special bracket required. Use a free-draining compost, water sparingly, and hang it somewhere the plant will catch some daylight as well as lamplight during the working day.
